Living wage
The Living Wage emerged as a response to growing poverty and inequality that continues to hold back so many Kiwi workers, their families and our economy. The Living Wage concept is very simple, yet such a powerful alternative – it’s the hourly wage a worker needs to pay for the necessities of life and participate as an active citizen in the community.
Otago Neighbourhood Support
Otago Neighbourhood Support (ONS) is a nationwide community-led movement that brings people and neighbourhoods together to create safe, resilient and connected communities. Connecting over 200 thousand households across the country, ONS operates at a grass root level, connecting neighbourhoods and those within them.
Rebicycle
ReBicycle is a charitable community organisation which ‘upcycles’ donated second-hand bikes into safe, practical commuter bikes to gift or loan to people who need them, starting with newly settled refugees in the Wellington region but also including any people experiencing financial difficulty.
